Rare sightings: Ponyta, Charmeleon (evolution of Charmander), “Pikachurros” and a “Pokedate”
With lead time on Pokemon Go ahead of the rest of the world, locals in the United States of America (USA) seems to have integrated the game into their daily lives. Players can enjoy Pokemon Pub Crawls through Sacramento, get 50 per cent off general admission to the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles (LA) and enjoy drinks inspired by their in-game Team at the Hilton Hotel, LA.
In fact, you can even find a date using Pokemon Go using a service called Pokedates, which matches single players based on their online profiles. It will then arrange a meet-up at a PokeStop or Gym, where the couple can begin their hunt for rare Pokemon.
If that took a weird turn for you, here’s something else that may tickle your fancy. The Loop, a specialty churros shop in Westminster, California, has launched freshly baked “Pikachurros”. Shaped like the popular electric mouse Pokemon, these snacks are topped with Oreo bits for ears, chocolate for eyes and red candy hearts. They are reportedly best eaten with the cafe’s soft-serve.
