Rare sightings: Snorlax, Charizard, Ninetails and Pokemon burgers
Sydney takes Pokemon hunting to a different level – forget strolling or running; Down Under, you’ll be kayaking to chase those Water types. Why walk and stalk when you can row and throw?
Sydney Harbour Kayaks offers a self-guided Pokemon Paddle tour, where visitors can rent a double or single kayak and spend some time catching Pokemon, hatching eggs and conquering gyms across the harbour. The package starts at AU$25 ($25.75) per person per hour.
Non-players have another exciting thing to look out for in Sydney: Down N’ Out Burger’s CBD pop-up store is serving irresistibly adorable “Pokeburgs” – burgers styled as Pikachu, Charizard and Bulbasaur, each stuffed with different ingredients like cheese, bacon and fries.
Here’s an extra twist: the exact flavours of the burgers are not revealed, and customers will be randomly given one of the three. The Pokeburgs cost AU$15 each and will be sold at limited quantities until 3 Sep from the St John Young Hotel.
