Because nothing can stop us once the seatbelt sign has been turned off

A few months ago, we took a flight that was largely uneventful - until the plane landed and began to taxi towards the terminal. As per protocol, the stewardess urged passengers to remain seated until the seatbelt sign had been switched off.
