5. Snow-Covered Mountains and Hot Spring Baths 

The Chugoku Mountains are located in the northern part of Hiroshima prefecture, and it has plenty of snow in the winter. During the winter time,  there are 12 winter ski resorts are open in the area.

The Megahira ski resort is conveniently located near Hiroshima city by car, about an hour and a half from the city centre. There are also accommodation facilities with natural hot springs. The Geihoku Kokusai ski resort is also one of the largest ski resorts in the prefecture, boasting 20 different courses. Both ski resorts offer different courses for all levels from beginners to advanced, and night skiing is also available on Saturdays. Ski equipment is also available for rent from the resorts.

The “Snow Liner” bus runs from Hiroshima city centre and Hiroshima station during the season, providing convenient transport for visitors.
