5 Updates That Made Us Open Pokémon Go Again

If you've set aside your Pokémon Go obsession, it might be time to pick it back up again. Niantic has just announced a line-up of updates for the end of the year, some of which are features that we've been pining for since the start of the game.

While you're at it, why not take the game on some of your real-life Pokémon adventures - check out the Pokémon Run, a Research Exhibition, life-sized Pokémon and collectible plushies at the airport and the return of the Pokémon Cafe.

3. Can you find Ditto?

Professor Willow has finally discovered Ditto, which has been known to disguise itself as other Pokémon. This means that in-game, players will have to keep an eye out for Pokémon that may actually be Ditto. Only when you capture them is there a chance that Ditto will reveal itself.

If you’re running too low on supplies to catch every Pokemon you encounter, camp out where other players are. When another trainer encounters a Pokémon that is Ditto in disguise, the Pokémon in that specific encounter will also reveal itself as Ditto on other trainers’ maps.

When training or battling at a Gym, Ditto will copy the appearance, types and moves of the first Pokémon it sees, and it will stay that way throughout the rest of the Gym battles in that session.
