6. Take advantage of angle, height and direction 

If you are already used to taking flat lays and want to vary your shots, try toying with the angle, height or direction of which you arrange your objects. If using the typical bird’s eye view bores you, try taking it at a lower angle or why not try a slant instead? No doubt the term ‘flay lay’ indicates the need for a relatively ‘flat’ image. But we say there are numerous ways to interpret a style. Apart from the horizontal or vertical placements of objects, try skewing them diagonally to give the perception of depth.
