Remembering one of Singapore's oldest public housing estates

Drawn by the call of nostalgia and longing, we took a trip down to the east to say goodbye to sweet old Dakota Crescent, before it closes at the end of the year.
The neighbourhood is made up of many blocks – some uniquely called “butterfly” blocks” for their perpendicular ‘wings’ – but it’s far from sprawling. Dakota Crescent is compact, cosy, familiar.
