Remembering one of Singapore's oldest public housing estates

Drawn by the call of nostalgia and longing, we took a trip down to the east to say goodbye to sweet old Dakota Crescent, before it closes at the end of the year.
With a yearning for the marriage of old and new, Tian Kee and Co is what many would call a “hipster cafe”. Between its rustic shopfront and old calendar pages as table numbers, this joint captures the nostalgia that hangs thickly in the air, unwilling to depart.
