Our favourite band of mutant ninjas is back in action as the Ninja Turtles return to the big screen in a big way with Michael Bay
Evil besets the city of New York as the evil Shredder and his Foot Clan reign supreme over citizens and politicians.
Salvation comes in the most unlikely of forms: Four mutant turtle brothers rise from the dark of the sewers to realise their fate as the butt-kickin’ saviours of New York. As the old tagline goes, they are the veritable “heroes in a half-shell” come to save the day.
Turtle Power Rebooted
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are back to blaze the trail of heroism for a brand new generation, thanks to the master of mayhem, Michael Bay (Transformers). This new film is a repackaging of the essence of the Turtles, while somewhat keeping
their mysterious origins.
Viewers can expect the familiar brand of witty humour and fast-paced martial arts action, along with better CGI and visual aesthetics.
A great leap from the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles feature film in 1990, this new film promises a series of twists to the classic story. Still, the familiar humour, action and weapons of the sai, katana, bo staff and flailing nunchakus will be comforting to fans. Cowabunga!
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are based on a comic classic created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. Its popularity grew immensely as it was turned into a cartoon series and then live action feature films.
Can We Keep Her?
Megan Fox plays the fearless reporter April O’Neil. The Turtles work closely with the beauty and her wise-guy cameraman to stop
Shredder’s diabolical plan. Apparently, Fox confessed to being a huge Ninja Turtles fan in her childhood and even admitted that her first crush was on Michelangelo.
Need we say more? These turtles are ready to rock.
