7. Water Propelled Jetpack

Turn your superhero (think Iron Man meets Aqua Man) dreams into reality when you give the Jetlev a try. The fascinating water sport involves a water-propelled jetpack that is strapped onto your back and connected to a motorboat that’s been equipped with a water pump.

The sheer pressure of the water jets keeps you airborne and can even reach a maximum height of 30 feet.

Price: From $228

Where to try: SeaBreeze Water-Sports, Wave House Sentosa, 36 Siloso Beach, seabreeze.com.sg.

8. Wakeboarding

For a go at the adrenaline pumping sport that is wakeboarding, head to the many local operators who offer board rental alongside certified coaching.

The hardest part about wakeboarding is learning to balance properly on the board; after which, participants usually find it a breeze to skim the waters and attempt other tricks.

Price: From $90 per hour

Where to try: Wake Pirates, SAF Yacht Club, Sembawang Clubhouse, 43 Admiralty Road West, wakepirates.com.
