It’s the most wonderful time of the year
Break out your tree, hang up your stockings, put on the holiday tunes – Christmas is almost here! The city is shining bright and everyone’s getting into the festive spirit. If you aren’t flying off to enjoy a wintry holiday, there’s no need to despair at all! We’ve got lots of exciting Christmas events and activities going on here on our sunny shores, to fill you up with the warmth and love of this magical season. Many are already happening right now, so grab your family and friends to share the joy.
1. Have a snowy Christmas with Barney and Friends
It’s snowing at City Square Mall! Now until 30 December, let your inner child out to play with the ‘snowy’ foam and dance along to Barney Christmas songs at the City Green urban park, at 8:15pm and 9:15pm. It’s an eco-friendly Christmas at City Green park, which is transformed into a Starlight Garden brilliantly adorned with a whopping 300,000 LED lights. An outdoor carnival is set up there with exciting rides for the whole family. You might want to stay after the sun sets to catch the gorgeous light show, happening every 30 minutes between 7 and 10pm.
