HYROX is having a serious moment.
What started as a niche fitness race has quickly grown into a global training phenomenon, attracting everyone from regular gym-goers to serious endurance athletes looking for their next challenge.

If you’ve been watching HYROX videos on Instagram and wondering whether you should give it a try, Damai at Grand Hyatt Singapore might just be the place to start.
Southeast Asia’s first hotel-based HYROX Training Club is expanding its programme with new classes and structured training plans designed to take participants from their first conditioning workout all the way to race day.
The new offering includes MetCon and HY-PACE group classes, as well as two nine-week programmes, HY-READY and HY-PERFORMANCE. There’s also a new HYROX Membership for those who want to make hybrid training part of their regular fitness routine.
And yes, you get to pair all that sweaty training with some serious recovery time.

New to HYROX? Start Here
If the thought of sled pushes, wall balls and repeated running intervals sounds slightly terrifying, MetCon is designed to be the more approachable entry point.
Short for metabolic conditioning, the 45- to 60-minute class combines intervals, circuits and timed efforts to build the aerobic fitness, stamina and strength needed for hybrid training.
With a maximum of 10 participants per session, the class keeps things relatively intimate, allowing coaches to focus on technique and movement quality while still maintaining that fun group-workout energy.
At S$50 nett per person, each session also comes with access to Damai’s locker and shower facilities, plus a 45-minute recovery session in the Thermal Hydrotherapy facilities.
So you can basically work hard, then immediately go into recovery mode. We approve.
Ready to Train Like You’re Actually Racing?
Once you’ve built up your conditioning, HY-PACE takes things up a notch.
Led by HYROX-Certified coaches, the class introduces official HYROX programming, race movements and pacing strategies. The focus isn’t simply on going as hard as possible — it’s about learning how to manage your energy across a race.
And that’s a pretty important distinction.
HYROX combines running with functional workout stations, meaning you need to know how to pace yourself while your body gets progressively more fatigued. Knowing when to push, when to hold back and how to maintain good movement can make a big difference.
Sessions are limited to just six participants, allowing for more individual coaching and real-time feedback.
Priced at S$50 nett per person, the 45- to 60-minute class also includes locker and shower access and 45 minutes in Damai’s Thermal Hydrotherapy facilities.

Your 9-Week HYROX Training Plan
If you’re serious about signing up for your first HYROX race, HY-READY could be the more structured route.
The nine-week programme begins with an introductory week from 28 September 2026, helping participants get familiar with key HYROX movements and techniques before progressing into eight weeks of increasingly challenging training.
You’ll train with an assigned HYROX-Certified coach in small groups of two to five people, working on everything from strength and endurance to movement efficiency and pacing under fatigue.
Participants can train up to three times a week, with the programme priced at S$798 nett per person.
The package also includes access to Damai’s 400 sqm Fitness Centre, Thermal Hydrotherapy facilities, lockers and showers, plus four hours of complimentary parking on training days.
For first-timers, the biggest draw is probably the structure. Instead of trying to figure out how to combine running, strength training and HYROX movements yourself, you get a progressive programme built around the demands of race day.
Already Experienced? Go Into Performance Mode
For more experienced HYROX athletes, HY-PERFORMANCE takes a more personalised approach.
The nine-week programme is designed for participants who already have some training or competition experience and want to work specifically on improving performance.
You can train up to four times a week with a HYROX Level 1 Certified coach, with programming adjusted according to individual strengths, weaknesses and race format — whether you’re preparing for Solo, Pro, Doubles or Relay.
Regular assessments also help identify areas that need more attention, allowing training to be tailored rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.
The programme costs S$1198 nett per person for groups of up to five.
And because recovery is part of performance too, participants get access to Damai’s Fitness Centre and Thermal Hydrotherapy facilities, as well as its 25-metre semi-Olympic swimming pool and hydro-massage Wellness Pool.

Want to Make HYROX Part of Your Weekly Routine?
Not ready to commit to a nine-week programme? The new HYROX Membership gives regular participants a more flexible way to train.
At S$299 nett per month, members get unlimited access to MetCon and HY-PACE classes, so you can switch between general conditioning and more HYROX-specific training depending on what your body needs.
Membership also includes access to Damai’s recovery facilities, including the sauna, steam room and hydro-massage pools.
And this is where the Damai experience feels a little different from the usual HYROX training environment.
Instead of spending your entire workout in an industrial-style race gym, you’re training within the wellness facilities of Grand Hyatt Singapore, with fitness, swimming, hydrotherapy and recovery all under one roof.
More Than Just Another Fitness Class
HYROX may be all about pushing your limits, but the growing popularity of hybrid training also reflects a bigger shift in the way people think about fitness.
It’s no longer just about getting through a workout. More people are looking at training, recovery and performance as one complete routine — and Damai’s expanded HYROX offering taps neatly into that trend.
Whether you’re completely new to HYROX, training towards your first race or looking to improve your performance, there’s now a more structured way to get started in Singapore.
Just remember: HYROX may look intimidating on your feed, but you don’t necessarily have to jump straight into race day. Sometimes, the first step is simply showing up for that first conditioning session.
