This one’s for the adults who delight in strange and parodic creations. New York bootleg toymaker known as The Sucklord has arrived on our shores for a special solo exhibition like no other at the Kult Gallery, from 5 October to 10 November. There’s no description that can do justice to The Sucklord’s toys, which have attracted a cult-like following over the last 20 years. Expect pop culture subjects – from online dating and meme culture, to pornography and celebrities – moulded into bootleg toy collectibles and injected with shrewd social commentary. If you fancy bringing some of the weird home with you, pick up the less offensive merchandise available at the gallery. Join the launch party on 5 October, from 5 to 7pm, for a chance to meet the eccentric Sucklord himself. He will also be hosting talks and workshops for aspiring toymakers.
