Looking for something meaningful to do this weekend?

Here are a few events worth checking out!

1. HOME: 家 2026 Brings Together 450 Local Artists for a Meaningful Charity Exhibition

Happening from 4 to 6 September, HOME: 家 brings together more than 450 local artists, from young children to adults, at Dempsey Hill for a three-day community exhibition organised by art education studio Artgrain in partnership with Dempsey Hill. Through original artworks, the exhibition explores the many meanings of “home” — from memories and family ties to personal identity and everyday Singaporean life.

Around one-third of the participating artists are children and youths, highlighting how creative expression can foster confidence, resilience and connection across generations.

Of the more than 450 original works on display, approximately half will be available for public sale, with all proceeds from artwork sales going directly to two beneficiaries: the Children’s Cancer Foundation and the Singapore Cancer Society.

Among the featured talents is Myra Wee Hsin Shuen, recipient of the Business Times Budding Artist Award 2024, alongside a range of emerging young painters who use the canvas to express ideas and emotions beyond words.

More than just an exhibition, HOME: 家 brings together a public gallery experience and a meaningful charity initiative, demonstrating how community art spaces can foster creativity, connection and support across generations.

The exhibition will be held at 8D Dempsey Road, #01-01, Singapore 249672.

2. Paragon Mid-Autumn Lumière: 50 Custom Rabbit Sculptures for Charity

Paragon is celebrating Mid-Autumn with its Lumière celebration, featuring a central art installation of 50 bespoke rabbit sculptures created in collaboration with students from Raffles Design Institute (RDI) and artists from ART:DIS (Arts & Disability) Singapore.

Set against a backlit moon display in the main atrium, the installation presents diverse interpretations of the traditional Moon Rabbit through fine art techniques, jewellery design, fashion accents and product prototyping. Four of the 50 rabbits have also been uniquely customised by distinguished guest contributors from Singapore’s business, public and philanthropic sectors. Outside, a trail of 50 additional rabbit sculptures lines Paragon’s Orchard Road frontage, inviting shoppers to follow the trail into the mall.

Turning art into community action, Paragon is also running an Adopt-a-Rabbit programme, with all 50 bespoke atrium sculptures available for adoption at S$800 each. 100% of the proceeds will go directly to ART:DIS, a registered Institution of a Public Character (IPC), to support creative arts training programmes for children and youths with disabilities.

Shoppers can scan the QR codes displayed beside each sculpture or browse Paragon’s online e-catalogue to select a rabbit. Donors will receive tax-deductible receipts issued directly by ART:DIS. Adding to the impact, CapitaLand Hope Foundation (CHF) will match all adoption donations dollar-for-dollar, up to S$40,000, as part of CapitaLand’s #GivingAsOne initiative.

The sculptures will remain on public display until 27 September, before being delivered to their adopters.
