5. Experience Songkran Festival in Singapore
Can’t go to Thailand to soak up the Songkran Festival this April? Cheer up as Tampines 1 is bringing the Thai water festival right here to Singapore! From 28 March to 3 April 2018, shoppers can experience authentic Thai culture in the heartlands at Tampines 1 through the week-long Songkran-themed event which includes water game booths, 40 local and Thai vendors offering a spread of food, fun, and fashion, and even a water laser tag game for children on the rooftop.
There will also be photo-taking opportunities available, including a Tuk Tuk pop up in Level 1 and a Wall of Smiles photobooth on the rooftop for shoppers to take Instagram-worthy shots! When night falls, the rooftop’s open skies will be transformed into a canvas of lights. Shoppers can also expect performances each night by Thai singer Derek Ruj, lucky draw giveaways, cultural performances as well as traditional Thai handicraft sessions like leaf folding, egg painting, jewellery making and Thai umbrella painting.
