3. Pop by the So Gelam Market
For three days over this weekend, the idyllic Baghdad Street will be closed to motor traffic, and instead will be lined with colourful tents, fairy lights, and buntings as part of the first edition of the So Gelam Market. There will be a variety of stalls including freshly cooked food, lifestyle products, as well as drinks and snacks. In the same spirit of a closely knit kampong where everyone shares what they have, the market will also have a complimentary elbow/wrist/hand massage therapy to provide care to those suffering from overworked hands and a pre-loved stall for all to help themselves to.
To complete the whole experience, musicians and entertainers will gallivant around the area to surprise pedestrians with song and dance under the balmy starlit night.
