Also happening at Gillman Barracks is the opening of the new exhibition – Breaking Waves. Set to launch on 23 June, the exhibition, organised by Chan + Hori Contemporary and sponsored by Johnson and Johnson (J&J), aims to confront the sensitivity of mental illness, while hopefully start a conversation about this supposed taboo topic in Singapore.
Breaking Waves features two segments: The Deepest Blue, an exhibition using water as a metaphor to showcase the complexities ongoing in the mind, and Head Spinning, Loop Creating that spotlights the way our minds interact with the aspects of space, cycles and control.
