5. Dine like a French man

After a two-week revamp, La Brasserie re-opens with a more lively and contemporary interior that overlooks the breathtaking Marina Bay with its floor to ceiling windows. Touting a refreshed menu as well, the posh restaurant serves up French brasserie classics and South French fare incorporated with Mediterranean flavours such as the lobster and scallop carpaccio ($33), aubergine caviar tartine ($19) and crisp buckwheat crêpes filled with honey baked ham, gruyère cheese and egg ($23). Our favourites have to be the French classics such as Suprême De Canard confit ($39), a tender duck leg boasting a perfectly crisp skin, and the traditional onion soup ($19) – robust, full-bodied broth that is topped with gooey gruyère cheese.
