The site where the British forces surrendered to Japanese forces in 1942, the Former Ford Factory has officially re-opened with its first permanent exhibition, “Syonan Gallery: War and Its Legacies”.
The exhibition will remember the Occupation years through significant community contributions and never-before-seen archival materials, designed to tell a compelling and immersive account of the darkest period in Singapore’s history.
