The Singapore International Film Festival returns for its 28th edition with over 100 films from 42 countries, of which 18 are world premieres. Timeless classics from Asia will be honoured this year, as well as local satires the likes of 2002’s Talking Cock and Jack Neo’s I Not Stupid.
Fans of the espionage genre can delight in the thematic focus of the festival’s Classics programme this year — Secret Spies Never Die, where significant spy films and its interesting offshoots from the 1950s to 80s are presented, tracing out a fascinating episode in Asian cinematic history.
