An absurd, fast-paced and riveting musical-sketch-comedy-play, “Now You Simi 2” tells the tale of Seah Loke Hong, a bumbling private detective. When Singapore faces its greatest existential threat since the Separation, no one else can take the job.
Follow our homegrown slapstick ‘talent’ – sans charisma, smarts and actual policing ability – on a misadventure of an investigation, and laugh heartily at his innumerable odd decisions that raise more questions than he answers.
Tickets are going at $20 (adult) and $15 (students and NSFs).
“Now You Simi 2”, featuring 18 characters, is written and performed by a racially diverse two-man cast of Matthew Ryan and Kevin Wong. All money gathered from the sale of tickets will go directly towards the Movement for the Intellectually Disabled of Singapore (MINDS).
Audiences are also urged to donate to MINDS and learn more about them online, even if they are unable to make it for the performance.
“Now You Simi 2” will show on 6-7 Jan, 7.30pm, at the Anglo-Chinese Junior College Faith Centre for Performing Arts. Tickets are available at bit.ly/nowyousimi2.
