Chinatown (14 to 15 April)

Chinatown is much more than its annual Chinese New Year festivities. Eat, drink, explore, and make merry in a series of family-friendly programmes, and uncover the myriad of stories and memories behind the colourful facades of Chinatown’s shophouses. Learn about tea appreciation, watch a Teochew opera performance, and listen to stories about swordsmen, scholars, and ghosts, like the ones told over Rediffusion, a cabled radio service from the 1960s to 1980s. Learn about tea appreciation, and watch a Teochew opera performance.
