‘Once Upon A Time on The Orient Express’ pop-up attraction will be gracing the shores of Singapore this December 2020 at the West Lawn of Gardens by the Bay.
Our sunny island has been chosen by the Orient Express as the first destination outside of France to kick-start a series of showcase that unveils a fairy-tale universe of travel, culture and gastronomy.
This December, discover the mystique of this legendary luxury train that has inspired multiple renowned literary works including Murder on The Orient Express by Agatha Christie and Stamboul Train by Graham Greene just to name a few. Not forgetting Harry Potter from Hogwarts Express too.
Orient Express the epitome of luxury travel and refinement is also an important representation of world history. The pop-up presents some of the most extraordinary objects and documents that showcase centuries old history. This history retraces the legacy of the train, allowing visitors to discover events that had transformed the world and shaped the map.
Relive the emotions of travelers who have boarded the Orient Express through a reconstituted train platform and showrooms to embark on the fascinating journeys displayed in the evocative giant trunks that encapsulate the history of the Orient Express. The Orient Express also exhibits an escape room experience on board. Imagine being in the shoes of Hercule Poirot to solve a detective case or like the Agatha Christie character did in Murder on The Orient Express.
This pop-up attraction also retraces a highly fantastical universe from an incredible collection of pieces from a bygone era. Presenting objects and documents that sum up the history of the Orient Express. Enjoy the specially prepared breakfast, lunch, dinner, or coffee through a replica restaurant car. Don’t forget to take tonnes of photos for your Instagram. However, there remains a final mystery to be solved. There is no menu given as yet but a clue was given that it is to be a “bespoke menu created with luxury, history and fusion in mind”.
Finally, immerse yourself in documentaries, newsreels and film clips that will elicit the rich literary and cinematographic heritage inspired by the Orient Express.
The pop-up attraction “Once Upon A Time on The Orient Express” will open in Singapore this December 2020 at the West Lawn of Gardens by the Bay, until June 2021.
