From 6 to 8 April, Singapore Expo Hall is set to be overrun by species of every furry, feathered and scaly kind. Oh, and humans too.
Singapore’s largest pet fair PetExpo comes bounding in like a playful puppy for its fifth edition, where it seems like there isn’t a short of chewable bones and scratches behind the ears.
So what to expect at this year’s pet lover’s paradise?
For starters, the event provides an outlet for visitors to give back to these blameless creatures. For instance, local personalities have come together to create paintings and doggy apparels that will be up for grabs. Most of the proceeds will be donated to various animal welfare groups such as Animal Lovers League and Cat Welfare Society.
Are you without a companion or have room to add one more furkid to the family? Then considering bringing home a brand new family member as some 14 animal welfare groups will part of an extensive adoption drive, carried out speed-dating style.
Other highlights of the event include Pawfully Fit’s Dog Yoga session, pet care talks conducted by Ohana Vetcare and Animal Ark and Made in SG Square – a section dedicated to only local pet brands hawking wares ranging from doggy accessories to animal-safe bakes.
The pet fair also gives you a chance to check out an array of fabulous dogs and cats with the return of the annual Singapore Kennel Club (SKC) Grooming Examination and Competition and several other dog obedience shows.
Are your tails already wagging?
