5 Things You Can Do To Give Back During Giving Week 2017

Now who says giving back to the society is a boring affair?

A national movement that encourages everyone to give back in his or her own little ways, Giving Week returns for its third edition this year from 28 November to 5 December. Featuring an extensive range of events and activities, Giving Day 2017 aims to increase awareness, educate, and engage Singaporeans in a citywide effort towards charitable giving and volunteerism.

During Giving Week as well as throughout the month of December, members of the public can take part in activities and events, volunteer, or donate to make a positive impact on the various beneficiaries. Giving back has never been this much fun, and we picked out five to kickstart your giving back experience.

3. Spend time with the elderly

Instead of donating in cash and kind, time is also a valuable asset we can contribute back to the society.

This Giving Week, choose to spend time with the seniors from FaithActs Seniors by volunteering for a three hour Rummikub game event. Never heard of the game before? No worries. Participants will get to pick up the game from the seniors, followed by meaningful conversations.
