Acclaimed film director Darren Aronofsky among line-up of leading names in film to speak at MBS

If you enjoyed the psychological thriller hit Black Swan (2010) and the classic Requiem for a Dream (2000), here’s how you can meet with the visionary director behind these two films.

American director Darren Aronofsky, who is also known for his work on other movies such as Pi (1998) and Noah (2014), will be in town to speak to film lovers and fans as part of ArtScience on Screen: In Conversation With. On 25 Nov, 3pm-4pm, Aronofsky will conduct a masterclass where he will divulge how he challenges cinematic explorations, as well as his philosophy on film-making.

ArtScience on Screen: In Conversation With is held in conjunction with the Singapore International Film Festival and will run from 25 Nov to and 4 Dec. Also featured this year are veteran Hong Kong actor and film producer Simon Yam; as well as Malaysian filmmaker Ho Yuhang, Hong Kong actress Kara Wai and Taiwanese pop star Wu Bai, who will be sharing more about their latest action film, Mrs K; Japanese director Naomi Kawase and The Road to Mandalay director Midi Z.

All six talks will be held at ArtScience Museum, level 4, and are open to members of the public. Admission is free but participants will have to register online and place a $5 refundable deposit to secure a seat at each session.
