8 Exciting New Spaces In Singapore To Say Hello To This Year

Start the new year on a happy note by looking forward to these new developments in town

2016 left us with tearful goodbyes to many local childhood spaces and estates, such as the Fish & Co Glasshouse, Rochor Centre and Dakota Crescent.

But it's a new year, a new day and a new life for these other places in Singapore, which are either getting a rejuvenated makeover or seeing entirely new facilities opening up.

7. Beyond 2017: Woodlands North Coast

The Woodlands North Coast will soon become a waterfront lifestyle, transport and major office cluster. It will be an integrated transport hub comprising a bus interchange, the MRT Station and a cross-border rail link to Johor. The Thomson-East Coast Line will be opened in stages from 2019.

The Woodlands North Coast will also house the first business park in the North, with green boulevards and commercial streets lined with eateries and amenities to serve office workers, residents and visitors.

Development on the URA’s Woodlands Regional Centre Master Plan has been underway since 2014 and is scheduled to be completed over the next 10-15 years.
