4. Lim Chu Kang Jetty

A quiet spot leading out into the sea in a corner of Singapore, the Lim Chu Kang Jetty is unknown even to many locals. Here, something from our country’s kampong roots seems to have survived; the jetty is made completely of wood and looks out to our neighbour, Malaysia.

It’s a reach to get to, and be warned that it may smell (and not necessarily of the ocean breeze). But for a scenic sunset, it’s worth the visit.
