3. Tanjong Pagar Railway Station

From 26 Dec this year, the historical Tanjong Pagar Railway Station will be closed for nine years. It will reopen in 2025 as the Circle Line’s Cantonment Station, which will reinstate the main building’s existing canopy structures.

The first 80m of the old platform outdoors will also be preserved, while about 290m will be permanently removed.

Before that, be sure to visit this monument for one last hurrah. It is open to the public every public holiday – and if you’re lucky, there may be a cool carnival happening on that very day – which means it’ll be open on 29 Sep for Deepavali.
