7. Shambhala

It’s not a complete list without heading to Europe at the PortAventura World amusement park in Salou and Vilaseca, Spain. This mammoth-sized ride is the world’s tallest and fastest hypercoaster at 78m and races at 134km/h. The ride starts off with a mild right-hand turn before beginning its 76m ascent to the top, before descending at a 77.4-degree angle. If you enjoy drops more than anything else, this ride is for you. Coming out from the first drop, Shambhala leaves riders with no chance for a breather, making a slight left before heading up the first of what would be five, yes five, camelback hills. That being said, with the number of hills means that you get to enjoy a considerable amount of airtime too. Also found in PortAventura World is the Red Force, a Ferrari-themed roller coaster that is similar to Kingda Ka in the United States due to it’s inverted ‘U’ track. While the latter is faster than the traditional coaster in Shambhala, both rides assure that those in the trains will be on the edge of their seats.
