How many times do we walk past a plot of land or a heritage building without fully appreciating its hidden history? If you'd like to rediscover Singapore through the eyes of a local tourist, here are upcoming walks and trails being held that you can start to register for. Some of them fill out fast, so best get clicking!

Istana Nature Guided Walk

When: 29 Jan 2017, 10am – 4pm

This Chinese New Year, discover nature at the Istana during its Open House. Sign up for the Nature Guided Walk, which showcases the Istana’s flora, fauna and biodiversity. The walk is conducted hourly. Look out for signs on the Istana grounds to find out where you can register for the walk.

Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis, on the event day itself. Walk fees are as follows: Children three years old and above: $2 per child; Singaporeans/PRs (aged 13 and above): $4 per person; foreigners (aged 13 and above): $10 per person and package for family of four: $12 per family (Singaporeans/PRs), $30 per family (foreigners).

Entrance into the Istana is free for Singaporean Citizens and PRs, and $1 for the public.
