Get pink for a great cause!
Did you know that 1 in 11 women in Singapore will get breast cancer in their lifetime? More than just a startling statistic, the disease is very real for many women all around the world. With October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month globally, there are many ways for you to give to great causes that support survivors and work to find a cure. At the same time, get educated on breast cancer, screenings and treatments at the various awareness and fund-raising events held across Singapore. And don’t forget to wear pink!

5. Pink Ribbon Line Dance
Get informed about breast cancer while working out at a mass line dance session! The National University Cancer Institute Singapore is putting together a fun Pink Ribbon Line Dance where everyone of all ages is invited to strut their stuff, on 20 October, from 11am to 1pm, at the Bukit Timah Community Club. Before the line dance session, join Assistant Professor Chan Ching Wan (Senior Consultant of Surgical Oncology) as he shares about the facts and myths of breast cancer. You can also speak directly to doctors about any questions at the “Ask the Doctors” booths. To get hands-on with the prevention strategies, take part in the breast self-examination demonstration by nurses, or even sign up for a mammogram screening!
