If your knowledge of Peranakan culture is little more than delicious nyonya kueh, be sure to check out Singapore’s first ever Peranakan Festival in Claymore Connect Mall, happening from now till 17 June.
Participants can enjoy a hands-on experience with a plethora of activities such as rubber stamp carving, high tea shows, cooking classes, kebaya shopping and more.
Plus, be educated on the multi-faceted history of the Straits Chinese community in Singapore via exhibitions and other showcases.

1. High Tea: Showtime with the Main Wayang Company
On 10 and 11 Jun, 3pm, enjoy a lovely high tea with wonderful entertainment provided by one of Singapore’s most celebrated performing arts groups — The Main Wayang Company. Feel free to rent a sarong or kebaya to dress the part.
