This year’s edition brings twists to its light art installations and festival activities
On evenings from 3-26 Mar, the Marina Bay waterfront promenade will burst into a symphony of light and festivities as part of the annual i Light Marina Bay.
Beyond the 20 light art installations by artists from around the globe – and the yummy pop-up finds along the water’s edge – this year’s festival will feature even more activities, through which the public can also contribute to community causes.
Here are five stellar gems to look out for at the festival:
1. Giant inflatable animal playground
One of the three festival hubs, Art-Zoo will feature 11 mammoth-sized inflatable art installations as part of a play-garden. The large-scale interactive exhibit, located at The Float @ Marina Bay, will explore nature through the perspective of art in an imaginative landscape.
Visitors will get to roam through a giraffe maze, walk through the belly of a whale and dart through the legs of a towering spider. Part of proceeds from the sale of tickets to Art-Zoo will go to the Students Care Service and Focus on the Family Singapore.
