As summer rolls around, it's time to get your cameras, picnic mats and inner artist ready. Five large-scale and family-friendly art festivals are bursting into action from May to June.

Here's what you can look out for over the next couple of weekends:

2. Faber-Castell Art Festival

When: 27 May – 4 Jun

Awaken your inner artist at this art event with a colourful programme, ranging from record-breaking events to a colouring competition for families.

Highlights include a giant a 5m-long and 1.5m-wide mosaic structure of the Singapore skyline, workshops with talented artists – including Floral & Foliage Illustration, Watercolour Lettering and Creative Journalling and Sticker Making – and an art exhibition by emerging local artists.

Admission to the event is free, but fees for individual workshops apply. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of artworks will be donated to Children’s Cancer Foundation.
