2. Golden Village’s Love and Pride Film Festival
For the 12th year running, Golden Village’s ever-popular Love & Pride Film Festival is back once again, featuring a scintillating lineup of internationally acclaimed foreign titles. This year’s pick of independent film titles centre around the theme of ‘Bringing untold stories to light’. Meticulously curated, every film in the line-up gives insight on unseen perspectives and experiences amongst the LGBT community to open up more dialogue and shed light on new points of views within society.
The festival started as a way to cater to the LBGT community, whose stories are seldom told in mainstream media. The film lineup features acclaimed movies with LGBT-centric issues that are recently released overseas, but often are never before played in Singapore. It has become one of GV’s signature events throughout the years, and is now a staple in the calendar for the LGBT community.
