Celebrate Singapore’s birthday, no matter where you are!

No tickets to NDP this year? No problem! Our city is buzzing with events and activities on the big day, you won’t be bored, even if you decide you stay home and chill. We’d go so far as to say that these ten activities happening on 9 August are more fun than attending the parade:

With mouth-watering dishes at as low as $2, there’s really no excuse not to feast at this year’s RWS Street Eats! The much-anticipated street food festival starts on 9 August from 11am to 9pm, with 29 specially curated food stalls showcasing the most popular and iconic dishes from Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and of course, our very own Lion City. We also have some extra special guests flying in from across the region this year! Malaysia’s Chef Zainal Abidin and Chef Mohd Fairus will be in town to blow you away with their popular Flying Roti Canai performance, while you can learn how to make Top Chef Vietnam 2014 finalist Chef Cam Thien Long’s famous Pho Bo and Vietnamese Summer Rolls from the man himself! And we can’t forget our local foodies. Followers of the ieatishootipost food blog, don’t miss Dr Leslie Tay trying his hand at creating his own Singapore-inspired dish during the event, because you might get a chance to taste it!
