Soar high with these new cocktail offerings!

Housed in the culturally rich district of Kampong Glam, Flying Monkey offers authentic Pan-Indian cuisine with a pinch of excitement. The restaurant brings the fun back into dining—serving casual, quirky dishes as well as a belly-rubbing good line up of classic cocktails with an Indian twist.

They just launched its latest cocktail menu inspired by Bollywood glamour, Indian spices and ingredients— the first revamp since opening their doors in 2017.

Introducing the restaurant’s signature, the Flying Monkey Signature ($20.00) featuring Tamarind as its star ingredient. An intriguing ingredient for a cocktail but when blended with a splash of fruity cognac, a dash of bitters and the fragrant Orgeat with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice, this signature drink is simply impeccable.

(from right) Gulaboo, The Japanese Wife)

The Gulaboo ($18.00) is a harmless flirtatious slang derived from the beauty of a red rose. A blend of vodka, Aperol, Rooh Afza Rose and fresh lemon juice is infused to make this deliciously vivid cocktail–a must, as a pre-dinner cocktail. While the Japanese Wife ($18.00) pays a homage to the Bollywood movie of the same title –released in 2010 to rave reviews. The cocktail is a celebration of love across cultures and an ode to a young Bengali school teacher who marries his Japanese penfriend. India’s iconic Old Monk Rum is sublime with Sake, fresh guava and savoury Maraschiono.

The Mumbai to Milan ($19.00) features freshly brewed Darjeeling Tea combined with Campari, Aperol, dry and sweet vermouth –a perfect tipple before settling down for dinner.

And finally, have yourself a glass of Holy Water ($20.00)—a complete head spinner and contrast from this drink’s inspiration, the Ganga Jal or the holy elixir, a symbol of purity, is the most potent concoction on the menu. The crystal clear cocktail is a heady mix of Hendrick’s Gin, Reyka Vodka, Dry Vermouth and sweet-smelling jasmine
