Since opening its doors in 1987, the flagship JUMBO Seafood at East Coast Seafood Centre has stood as a beloved dining destination for locals and visitors alike. For nearly four decades, this seaside institution has hosted countless family celebrations, corporate gatherings, and weekend feasts by the shore.
However, the JUMBO Group has announced that this iconic flagship will officially cease operations when its lease ends on 30 September 2026, as part of a wider redevelopment and rejuvenation initiative by the National Parks Board to enhance the East Coast Park area.
“Where It All Began” Farewell Campaign
To mark the end of this chapter, JUMBO Seafood is launching a farewell campaign titled “Where It All Began”, running from now until the final day of operation. The campaign invites diners to relive memories through nostalgic promotions, special offers, and community-focused activities.
S$39 Crab Promotion to Kick Things Off
The celebrations begin with a standout promotion from 11 June to 31 July 2026, featuring mud crabs (around 500g each) at just S$39++ per crab, available with signature preparations such as Chilli Crab or other classic house styles, while stocks last. It’s a simple tribute to one of the restaurant’s most iconic dishes.
Nostalgia and Special Guest Appearances
Beyond the menu, the campaign also brings personal touches that honour its legacy. Founding member Mr. Ang Hon Nam will make special appearances during selected visits, where diners who take a photo with him can receive a complimentary coconut drink as a keepsake gesture.
Guests born in 1987—the year JUMBO Seafood was founded—can also enjoy a complimentary dessert by showing valid identification, adding a nostalgic layer to the experience.
Member Rewards and Exclusive Vouchers
Members of the My JUMBO SG app can access exclusive S$39 vouchers throughout the farewell period, offering ongoing value until the final day of service.
Grand Finale Dinner for a Meaningful Goodbye
A Grand Finale Dinner is also being planned before closure, bringing together long-time supporters, partners, and friends of the brand. The ticketed event is expected to start from S$1000 per table of 10, with all proceeds donated to selected charitable organisations, underscoring JUMBO’s commitment to giving back.
A Final Chapter by the Sea
As the final months unfold, the brand will share stories from staff and loyal diners across its platforms, celebrating the memories that shaped this iconic seaside institution—inviting everyone to return for one last coastal feast before this chapter of Singapore’s food history closes.

While this East Coast landmark prepares to bid farewell, JUMBO Seafood continues its legacy across Singapore, including locations at Riverside Point, Dempsey Hill, ION Orchard, Jewel Changi Airport, and Resorts World Sentosa, as well as newer concepts such as JUMBOREE in Tai Seng.
