Caffe B’s newest lunch set comes as a huge relief to those who work in Marina Bay Sands looking for a more affordable meal
We heard of Caffe B’s newest $25++ menu and wondered if it was a gimmick. After all it is Marina Bay Sands; where even water can set you back $8! As it turns out, it was legit and the dishes are indeed of a respectable caliber. Here is our review on it:

The main star
The Paccheri Pasta with Prawns and Octopus is definitely our favourite. The pasta was a little tough and not as chewy as I would have liked it but the lobster sauce made up for it tremendously, adding a punch to the entire dish. The diced prawns and octopus were fresh and intensely flavoured. Our only complaint is that the serving is too small.

Nothing goes wrong with fish
The Red Snapper was wonderfully pan-seared to perfection; the skin of the snapper was crisp while the fish was deliciously soft and succulent. The sake sauce comes through as a salty aftertaste and the tomato and fennel provided a balance for the slightly-salted fish.

No room for dessert
The dessert was a little disappointing for me. I do not like chocolate and would have loved to choose another dish but there was only one dessert available. Nonetheless, the almonds in the confection provided a much-needed crunch against the soft, rich chocolate bar.
