The Balzac Mother’s Day Brunch Menu ($88++) commences with an amuse bouche of a Foie Gras Custard with Pumpkin Emulsion and Crispy Farmer’s Bread. It comes with free flow of oysters, smoked salmon and pan fried foie gras.
There are three main courses to choose from: the Braised Spanish Pork with Sautéed Potato and Natural Jus; the Beef Cheeks A La Cuillere – braised over 48 hours, and served with Bordelaise Sauce and Mashed Potato ‘Grand Mere’; and the Pan-seared Cod Fish with Sautéed Spinach and Roasted Tomato. Buona Terra Italian Restaurant
If your mom prefers the heartier Italian cuisine, there is a Mother’s Day Lunch ($88++) and Dinner ($128++).
Expect dishes such as the Agnello E Carciofi – lamb short loin in crispy pistachio crust and artichoke on the lunch menu and more premium dishes such as “Secreto” Iberico E Salsaverde, the chef’s secret recipe of Iberian pork jaw with braised endives and drizzled with green sauce. Available May 11.

Take mom on a scenic ride up Mount Faber for a meal at Spuds & Aprons.
The Mother’s Day lunch ($42++) comprises four courses such as Braised Beef Cheeks with Dashi Stock and Shoyu Daikon, Snow Peas, Baby Carrot, Garlic Fried Rice. Grilled Prawn with Lemongrass Pomelo Salad and Chilli Peanut Dressing is an affordable option with a killer view.

Taste Paradise
The highlight of this Mother’s Day is Colours of Love, available at Taste Paradise and Paradise Pavilion.
Colours of Love is a kaleidoscope of colours and delightful ingredients such as roast duck, jellyfish, crispy fish skin along with rock melon and mango as well as assorted vegetables topped with a tangy sauce.
Taste Paradise offers dine-in set menus starting from $128++ per person to $1,688++ for ten persons, and they include dishes such as Sautéed Scallop with Cordycep’s Flower in XO Sauce and Wok-fried Ramen with Baked Boston Lobster.

Tea Lounge
Take mom for an idyllic Weekend High Tea Buffet ($62++ to $92++) and look forward to dishes such as Wellington Angus Beef with Foie Gras Filling, Lemon and Chamomile Flowers Confit Salmon and King Crab Salad with Celery and Raspberries, among others.
Doubling the pleasure is the irresistible selection of desserts including the traditional Torta di Rose, heart-shaped Lychee Macarons and Grandma’s Carrot Cake. All mothers and grandmothers will receive a special treat from the chefs. Available on May 11.

The Chop House
The meat-lover mom would enjoy the grilled treats ($88++) from The Chop House.
This outlet has a more convivial setting than sister restaurant Wooloomooloo Steakhouse.
Enjoy the grilled platter which comprises grilled tender Australian lamb chops, juicy New Zealand grass-fed sirloin, crispy calamari, Norwegian salmon, prawns and which can be shared among three to four people.
Add two other sides to balance up the meal. Available from May 9 to 11.

The Line
The Line commemorates Mother’s Day with the Flower Power brunch ($128++).
Creative floral creations at the 16 theatre kitchens include Artichoke and Mushroom Barigoule, Monkfish Liver with Fennel Pollen and Saffron Risotto.
Mothers with a sweet tooth will enjoy desserts such as Frozen Cardamom Cream with Pistachio and Rose Water. Available from noon to 3pm on May 11.
