Some of the newest eateries and menus in town for you to check out
Sumiya
Review in Dec 19 Issue
Japanese food has become increasingly common in Singapore. It found a place for itself in every shopping mall in Singapore and in every palate of the average Singaporean. The challenge is to be creative and stay afloat of current trends and beat it, something we found optimized at Sumiya.
Sumiya went through a major revamp recently, choosing to turn their rooftop restaurant into a fishery port inspired establishment. Proud fishermen memorabilia and traditional Japanese toys dot the place, livening up the lofty place. It felt as if the dishes served were straight from their fishing haul!

K.Cook Korean BBQ
Review in Dec 12 Issue
Despite its humble opening, K.Cook Korean BBQ has built up a following, including on social media- it was full on a weekday. The ambience of K.Cook BBQ reminds me of a bustling street restaurant in Seoul. Big, mounted television screens are located around the outdoor seating of the restaurant, depicting flashy performers in bubbly dance routines.
Everyone seems to feel right at home in this stylish place. I got a table facing one of the many screens, showing big Bang rocking out. On that note, I started on the courses.

Takumi Kacyo is the newest addition to the line of restaurants at Marina @ Keppel Bay. Armed with a perfect view and air-flown sashimi, this place looks to be the most impressive choice. We tried their array of offerings and found out our favourites.

Nickeldime
Review on Nov 28 Issue
With the scattering of new beer-and-burger joints popping up lately, we were surprised at how different Nickeldime is
At a look, Nickeldime already sets itself apart from any other establishments. I believe a fantastic atmosphere is half the battle won in any restaurant and this one nailed it. With their Broadway-style banner and vintage beer retail cellar, it is impossible to miss.

Fuku Fine Fugu Kaiseki Restaurant
Review on Dec 5 Issue
We all know about the horrors of fugu, better known as the puffer fish. This fish is more poisonous than cyanide – now, is it worth the risk?
Fuku stands amid a stretch of eateries along Mohammad Sultan Road. It looked unassuming and homely, with dim lighting and light-hearted music playing as we walked into the establishment. Each of the dishes in our meal featured the fugu but prepared differently.
