Poké bowls are healthy, tasty and easy to eat even on-the-go.

It’s little wonder poké bowls have swept the city by storm— they’re healthy, tasty and easy to eat even on-the-go.

The dish, originally a Hawaiian staple since about 50 years back, consists fresh raw seafood, chopped into cubes and marinated in various sauces.

Nowadays, it takes inspiration from traditional Polynesian, Asian and even American flavours.

The latest poké outlet to surf into town is Pololi, also Asia’s first poké chain by chef-preneur Steph Kudus. Conveniently located at China Square Food Center, they serve freshly made and chilled poké.

Five poké different flavors will be available daily.

Diners can expect a repertoire of more than 20 different poké flavors, with five different flavors on rotation daily.

Signature flavors include Traditional Spicy and Yuzu Salmon, along with weekly specials like Sweet Onion Teriyaki Swordfish, Thai Spicy Tuna, Korean Spicy Tako, Ginger Marlin and a locally-inspired Sambal!

For a substantial, protein-packed meal, the poké is served with a side of brown rice, white rice or salad. Simply pick between a DA KAMA’AINA poké bowl (180g of poké) at $17.99 or DA KEIKI poké bowl (150g of poké) at $15.99.

To spice things up a little, go for Hawaiian treats such as Spam musubi and quench your thirst with tropical granitas and ice-cold beers from Kona Brewing Co.
