Fat Prince Serves Up New Sustainable Menu Focusing On Big Flavours And Kebabs

Gourmet kebabs with a modern twist

Dedicated to serving up the finest of Middle Eastern cuisine, with big flavours, Fat Prince’s newest menu showcases the best of sustainable local produce from the region, melding them with the smoky spicy flavours of the Middle East. From bread to toum and garnishes, all dishes are made from scratch in-house; and the menu is divided into three different categories— Mezze & Salads, Kebabs and Desserts.

Head Chef Beau Churchill says: “We use local, sustainable ingredients because as a Chef, and a human, it is our duty to think and act responsibly and to help produce a better future. As a Chef, I have the ability to help create the demand to better our planet by utilising and educating on the use of local, organic and sustainable ingredients. For that, I am lucky. Local is always better.”

Pumpkin Acuka

Start your meal with the amazing Pumpkin Seed Acuka ($12.00) that features smoked peppers and dried Turkish chilli pepper. This bold dip is served alongside warm, soft, pillowy pita. If you love your hummus, don’t miss out on the Cashew Hummus ($12.00) made up of roasted cashews for a comforting start to your meal.

An undoubted star on the menu is the Lebanese-inspired Shish Tawook Chicken Kebab ($8.00). A take on a classic Lebanese dish, the smoky meat is served with charred capsicum, coriander and toum for a fresh, herby finish. Vegetarians and look out for the Grilled Halloumi Cheese Kebab ($9.00) which incorporates the grilled salty cheese smothered in peppered jam, spiced nuts and pomegranate molasses for a sublime balance of bold flavours.

If you’re looking for something a little unique, go for the Chickpea Fried Seabass Kebab ($10.00) which is fried to a lovely crisp while the flesh remains delicately
flaky. Fresh and bursting with natural sweetness, this kebab is also filled with cured lemon mayo, chilli and shaved cabbage for that extra crunch.

For those who want something lighter and wholesome, try the Avocado & Kale Tabbouleh ($15.00). Inspired by the traditional tabbouleh salad, this refreshing salad is made up of bulgur wheat, herbs tossed in a zesty cured lemon vinaigrette. All the vegetables and herbs are from two independent farms—one based locally and the other in Cameron Highlands.
