In the north of Singapore lies a gem of cafe you might not know about yet.
Tucked away in Sembawang and hidden from prying eyes is Common Chefs, a cafe cum bakery which serves unpretentious, affordable and delicious comfort food inspired by both Western and Asian flavours.
Here are some dishes we loved:
4. Grilled Prawn Taco, $12
At Common Chefs, the flavours of Mexico are presented in the form of its Grilled Prawn Taco which has smoked paprika prawns resting on bed of lettuce.
The special Mexican mayonnaise is also a welcome relish with its top secret ingredients contributing to the prapika prawns’ spicy kick.
Our only gripe is the doughy tortilla, which we left out entirely as we picked through the taco’s toppings.
