Trust our favourite fast food chain to turn our local fare into iconic burgers and desserts — even the humble nasi lemak dish isn’t spared! In light of National Day, McDonald’s Singapore has launched limited-edition menu items with a modern spin on traditional local favourites. Expect to tuck into the Nasi Lemak Burger (from $5.95), which boasts a coconut-flavoured chicken patty layered with a golden fried egg, caramelised onions and crunchy cumber slices. Keeping to the specifics of the Malay dish, the burger is topped off with a dash of sweet and spicy sambal sauce for that added zing.
