We love our spicy foods. From chilli crabs to fiery stews and even Szechuan mala (literally translating to numbingly spicy) hot pots, we’re game to try them all.

Here are five restaurants that have made a name for themselves thanks to their signature fiery dishes.

Must-Try: Spicy Seafood Beef Stew

Spice seekers ought to make a beeline for Masizzim, which specialises in fiery and hearty jjigae (stew). Considered a quintessential component of Korean cuisine, these meaty stews pack a punch in terms of flavours.

New on their menu is the Spicy Seafood Beef Stew ($38.80), packed full of fresh prawns, mussels, crayfish and squid, brought to a boil in a clam-based broth that is naturally sweet and salty.

Tender chunks of Australian beef short ribs are added into the mix, resulting in a robust-tasting stew. Overall, the intensity of the spice tasted just right, and warmed our bellies nicely.

If your appetite allows, don’t miss out on items like the Tuna Seaweed Egg Roll and Honey Mustard Cheese Egg Roll. The latter oozed with cheesy goodness.
