Wine and dine in the company of vintage enamel signs and nostalgic toys

It felt like homecoming, when I stepped into the lovely Mr Punch Public House. I’d once celebrated my 18th birthday in the same space.
The quirky gastropub takes up the basement level of Mint Museum of Toys, with an unmistakable charm of its own.
Walls are adorned with vintage enamel and tin signs that hail from various parts of the world — look closely and you’ll find iconic brands like Milkmaid or Cadbury.
Nostalgic toys from a bygone era peek out from corners, while colourful murals draw the eye to the high ceilings.
While one could be quick to dismiss the gastropub as another nondescript “museum cafe”, it’s worth noting that they offer a wonderful selection of quality eats and modern cocktails.
Here are four dishes we loved:
1. 4 Act Sliders
Made for sharing, the 4 Act Sliders feature a quad of mini sliders sandwiching Angus beef patties.
The beef patties were juicy and tender, pairing well with the caramelised sweetness of the onion marmalade and the tang of aged cheddar.
