If you dread running, try bouncing your way to fun and fitness instead

According to NASA research, rebounding on a trampoline can boost cardio better than jogging. In fact, the low impact cardio workout puts less pressure on your joints compared to rounds of pounding the pavement.

Plus, did we mention how fun bouncing can be? From attractions like dodge ball, slam-dunk to even a Ninja Warrior style obstacle zone, these three trampoline parks will delight your inner kid — all while keeping you fighting fit!

The newest kid on the block is Bounce Inc. It’s set to be the largest indoor adrenaline arena in Singapore at 24,000 sq ft. Originally from Melbourne, the concept offers recreation, fitness and fun with three zones based on interests and difficulty levels.

Fans of the Ninja Warrior series will be well challenged by the X-Park, an indoor adventure obstacle course that’s the first of its kind in Asia.

Designed to allow challenge and diversity for both first timers and free-running masters, this adventure challenge course combines elements of climbing, jumping and free running before the finale — zipping on the aerial runway to the finish line.

A key highlight, apart from the trampolines, is the Leap Of Faith, a station where adrenaline junkies can test their limits by jumping from a raised platform and leaping out to catch hold of a grab bag.

Though new, Bounce already has fitness classes in the pipeline. Visitors can look forward to trampoline classes like the aerobic-based Bounce Fit alongside the Flight Academy, where cool tricks can be learnt, as well as Mini Bounce for kids.

Catapult your fitness regime to greater heights at Katapult, a 14,000 sq ft indoor trampoline park nestled in the greenery of Orto Leisure Park. With a main court that consists over 30 interconnected trampolines, the park offers seven thrilling zones, including an Olympic trampoline for wall running.

For a full body workout, engage in a game of classic dodge ball with a bouncy twist. Two teams face off by attempting to hit their opponents with foam balls, while surrounded by wall-to-wall trampolines.

Alternatively, test your ball skills at the Slam Dunk zone by bouncing off a runway trampoline and rebounding from the wall trampoline to score a goal through the 4.5-metre high net. Thrill seekers can try free falling through the air from a 2 or 3.2 metre platform onto an airbag or even balancing on a 6 metre slack line.

In addition, Katapult offers a unique GymKour training program ($400 for 8 lessons) combining the art of trampolining and parkour, for those keen to learn more.

Entrance fees start from $15 on weekdays. Katapult Trampoline Park, 81 Lorong Chencharu, #01-11 ORTO, Singapore 769198
