I was excited by the Australis Velourlips Matte Lip Cream ($12.90), a highly-pigmented lip colour that claimed to last all day.
The product didn’t disappoint. My lips stayed red and looked fresh from morning to evening, even after lunch and dinner.
Application was also a breeze with the doe-foot wand. The lip cream dried off to a matte finish after a few seconds.
Also, who can say no to a lip cream that smells like grape bubblegum?

The Revlon PhotoReady Insta-Fix Makeup’s compact size ($26.90) took me by surprise.
No bigger than a lipstick tube, the stick foundation, touted as a “skin retoucher”, glided on rather smoothly and did not feel heavy on my skin.
Perfect for those in a hurry or need a quick touch-up.
Beauty UK Truest Black Eyeliner
Eyeliner is an essential to my beauty routine when preparing for a night out and Beauty UK’s Truest Black Eyeliner ($9.90) does live up to its name.
It produced a thick, super-black, long-lasting coat on my lash line and its flexible, yet fine, tip made application easy.
The product was also highly versatile — I was able to draw a simple cat-eye or create highly-defined, dramatic looks
with mascara that made my eyes stand out.
Faith in Face Nourish Me Hydrogel Mask
It’s crucial to hydrate your skin before you slap on some make-up for a fun night ahead.
If you have dry skin like me, try Faith in Face’s Nourish Me Hydrogel Mask ($14.50 per pack).
Unlike many cotton masks, the Nourish Me Hydrogel mask is said to be packed with Ceramide 3 and natural goodies like broccoli extract and olive oil.
After I peeled off the mask, I was pleased to find that my skin looked more supple and that my dry spots had rehydrated.
There was also a visible difference after I applied my make- up — my skin had an all-over healthy glow and I looked fresh-faced most of the day.
